E J Smart Ltd delivered the complete mechanical package for this 34-apartment new-build residential development in Hammersmith, acting as principal mechanical sub-contractor with full responsibility for the design coordination, installation, commissioning and handover of all mechanical services.
The scope ran from the central plant room through to a Heat Interface Unit (HIU) in every apartment, taking in mechanical ventilation, fire-rated ductwork, commercial and residential sprinkler systems, and full integration with the building management system. Every element was directly managed and supervised by our own team.
The project reached practical completion in 2025 and stands as our primary reference for complex, multi-storey residential mechanical packages.
Design coordination and installation of the central plant room, including Ideal EvoMax boilers and a JET pressurisation unit serving the whole development.
A Heat Interface Unit installed and commissioned in every one of the 34 apartments, providing efficient, individually-metered heating and hot water.
Full mechanical ventilation throughout the scheme, delivering compliant air quality and heat recovery across all apartments and communal areas.
Fire-rated ductwork installed to specification, supporting smoke control and life-safety provisions across the building.
Both commercial and residential sprinkler systems installed and tested, providing comprehensive fire suppression coverage.
Integration of all mechanical services with the building management system for centralised monitoring, control and efficiency.
